Scholarships

Thanks to generous funding from our partners, we will be offering scholarships to ensure diverse global participation at the Global Summit. We are committed to supporting participants with lived experience of all types of diabetes.

Two scholarship categories are currently available for people living with diabetes, with further opportunities to be announced soon.

Registration & Accommodation scholarships

At least 60 registration and accommodation scholarships will be awarded to people with lived experience of diabetes. To be eligible, applicants must submit an abstract / contribution and indicate that the presenting author lives with diabetes.

This scholarship will cover registration and three-nights accommodation.

Travel scholarships

Thanks to generous funding from Breakthrough T1D, and with the support of #dedoc°, we will be offering at least 30 travel scholarships for #dedoc° voices. Initial priority will be given to applications from individuals living in low- to middle-income countries. This reflects our commitment to amplifying voices that may otherwise face barriers to international participation. Our key funding is provided by the Global Responsibility team at Breakthrough T1D.

Detailed application guidelines, eligibility requirements and deadlines will be announced soon. We encourage all interested parties to watch for updates on our website and social media posts.

More opportunities coming soon

Subject to available funding, we also plan to offer scholarships to:

  • People living with diabetes in high income countries
  • Students and early career researchers
  • Health professionals

All scholarship categories will have specific eligibility criteria and application processes to ensure fair and transparent selection.

Our goal is to bring together the most diverse and impactful group of voices possible to advance our mission of ending diabetes stigma worldwide.
