Conference Visa Information for International Participants

We warmly welcome international participants to attend the Global Summit on Ending Diabetes Stigma in India. To facilitate your travel, please find below detailed information regarding the Conference Visa application process, required documents, and necessary government permissions.

1. Conference Visa Application Process

All international delegates are required to obtain a Conference Visa to attend the summit in India. The Government of India provides an online e-Conference Visa facility, which can be applied for through the official portal:

Applicants should select the appropriate e-Conference Visa category and carefully complete the online application form. It is advised to apply well in advance of your intended travel dates.

2. Documents Required for Conference Visa

The following documents are generally required while applying for a Conference Visa:

  • Valid passport with at least six months validity from the date of arrival in India
  • Recent passport-size photograph (as per specifications on the visa portal)
  • Scanned copy of passport bio-data page
  • Invitation letter for the conference

  • Proof of return or onward travel
  • Any additional documents as requested by the Indian authorities

3. Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Permission

We have received the requisite permission from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, for organizing this international conference. The official MHA permission letter will be made available on our website for download and must be attached by participants while applying for the Conference Visa.

4. Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Clearance - Individual Requirement

Please note that Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) clearance is required on an individual basis for each international participant. To enable us to process MEA clearance on your behalf, participants must share the required details at least 30 days prior to the conference dates.
The following details and documents must be submitted:

  • Full name (as per passport)
  • Nationality
  • Place of birth
  • Date of birth
  • Passport number
  • Scanned copy of passport (bio-data page)

Failure to provide the above information within the stipulated timeframe may result in delays or inability to obtain the necessary clearance, which could affect visa approval.

5. Important Advisory

Visa approval is subject to the discretion of the Government of India. Participants are strongly advised not to make irreversible travel arrangements until their visa has been officially approved.
